In 2011 I lost my left arm to cancer. Since then making ends meet has been a challenge; especially living in Silicon Valley. I lost my part-time job in September and although I had several interviews no one was willing to hire me. I was actually told on a few occasions that I was not physically capable to do the work. I was finally fortunate enough he offered another part-time job that I will begin in January.  Unfortunately my gap in employment has caused me to fall behind on my rent. I have asked my landlord if he could move my rent due date to the middle of the month so that it would coincide with my disability check but he has denied my request. This is left me in a position where I cannot catch up on my back rent or stay on track with my future payments. The money that I am requesting would allow me to pay my back rent and put me ahead one month so that I can pay my rent on time beginning in February.  Anything that you might be able to contribute will make a real difference for me.
