I am doing this on behalf of a friend in India. His maid's brothers newborn son (born 17/5/2016) has been diagnosed with a rare heart condition and needs immediate surgery on Monday. Attached letter from the hospital for reference. The family is well below the poverty line and cannot afford such a surgery. They have kindly asked for help and need urgent donations to make up Rs 290,000 (approx AUD $5900) for the surgery at Fortis Hospital Mumbai India. Every little bit will help as they are fund raising via Facebook as well in addition as this money needs to be there by next week.
Any assistance will be of great help to a 3 day old baby and their family.
