Hi,
My name is Kaila Love and I am setting up this account for my friends Kevin and Jocelyn, a wonderful young couple who recently experienced a tragedy beyond words. I made a five minute video telling the story of how we became family and why we need your help. [Click Above]. (I've transcribed the video below as well).
[Kevin & Jocelyn with their daughter, Ellie]

This is a post from Jocelyn's Facebook page about what happened:
As you all know, my husband and I were expecting twins to arrive some time early July or late June. We couldn't be more excited, nervous and proud all at the same time. We were waiting until their birth to announce their sex. Well that day arrived much sooner than we anticipated and our beautiful baby girls were born on April 15th at 9:07 am & 9:08 am Unfortunately we received the worst news of our entire lives... One of our girls didn't make it, she wasn't strong enough. During this time we ask for your prayers and support. We aren't in the best shape to answer many questions because it is so hard to think about. Maleah Cecilia Abdelnur is doing really good at 28 weeks and growing stronger everyday. Leilani Isabelle Abdelnur is our angel and is resting in heaven and in our hearts. Our children are our world, so this is a really difficult time for our entire family. We ask for your support and prayers during such a difficult time. It is the worst pain in life, to have to bury your own child, who didn't even get one day of life on earth. We know that Leilani is special and that she was an angel God sent for us to grow for his kingdom in heaven. He let us be with our beautiful angel for a moment before brining her home with him.
Love you baby girl so much

The family will be putting baby Leilani to rest this Saturday, April 23, 2016 and I am trying to raise funds to help with funeral expenses, medical expenses, and balance out the missed time that Jocelyn and Kevin have to take off work. Jocelyn was still hoping to work for at least another month and hadn't even had her baby shower yet. Not only is she missing income from her early delivery, but she needs support as she heals and bonds with baby Maleah.
Anything you are able and willing to give is greatly appreciated by all of us. No donation is too small.
Thank you.

My name is Kaila Love.
This is my friend Max.
Max was a talented emcee, break-dancer, and artist.
I knew him since he was 15 years old.
He, I, and so many others, had big dreams for him.
He was one of the most talented people I knew.
Even though he was younger than me, I looked up to him.
Unfortunately, on August 31, 2014, he was shot and killed in a botched robbery.
Just two weeks after he turned 21 years old.
Now all loss of life is sad…
But losing Max felt like…
Losing 2Pac or Selena.
Even twenty plus years after their deaths,
The pain can hit like yesterday.
Because we know their POTENTIAL was cut so short, so soon.
And it doesn’t feel fair.
It was difficult to see the pain Max’s friends and family were in.
This was Max’s best friend Kevin.
When he was thirteen, I didn’t really like him.
He was always trying to clown and would get on my nerves.
“You play too much!”
But over the years, I watched him grow
into a great man.
And someone that that I am so proud of.
He met a wonderful woman named Jocelyn – now his wife
And they welcomed their first baby girl into this world
Just months before Max died.
I began dating Max’s other best friend, Jimi.
Sometimes, we went on double dates with Kevin and Jocelyn.
Or triple dates…
Or quadruple + dates, since we were also friends with other couples
All connected through Max.
We’ve cried together.
We’ve laughed together.
We’ve sought justice together.
We’ve celebrated life together.
And we consider each other, an extended family.
So when Kevin called to tell me that Jocelyn was pregnant with twins,
I cried with joy and pride
(after asking Kevin a million times if he was serious, since he’s a big jokester!)
I felt like I had two new baby nieces or nephews coming into the world.
Jocelyn is already such a dedicated mommy to her two-year old Ellie
and I know that she will be the same for her twins.
Especially since her siblings are twins!
Everybody was astounded at this miracle.
Her belly was growing bigger and the babies were expected in two months.
On April 15, 2016, I got a call from Max’s mom.
She said Kevin and Jocelyn were at the hospital.
Jocelyn was going to have an emergency C-Section
At just 28 weeks.
I called Jimi and we rushed to the hospital.
We got there right after Jocelyn’s mom.
We saw each other in the hallway and began crying in each other’s arms
Because we just found out,
One of the babies didn’t make it.
Her name was Leilani.
When I saw her,
She looked perfect.
All ten fingers and toes, black hair, button nose,
And the sweetest lips in a subtle smile.
I kept praying she would open her eyes. It felt like she would.
But she never did.
That day, Max had an angel join him in heaven.
Today, Kevin and Jocelyn need our love and support
So that they can overcome the burden of
Burying a baby they spent the last 7 months of their life preparing for
While also celebrating the birth of baby Maleah.
I love you Kevin and Jocelyn.
You are not alone in this.
Let’s show them that.
Please consider donating funds.
And keep them in your hearts and prayers.
Rest in Peace Leilani.
