We are the Gilman's and we have prayed for 8 years for a baby. Regardless of the repeated heartbreak, we are not willing to give up. Together, we have battled cervical cancer, endometriosis surgery, hyperprolactinema, and low-ovarian reserve. What does all of that medical jargon mean?

First, my anatomy has changed due to cancer treatment making the love connection with sperm and egg extremely challenging (if not impossible). The endometriosis has grown on my major organs but most importantly for fertility, it has decided to attack my female organs and has diminished my eggs and fertilization ability. My pituitary gland in my brain is overactive and the hormones it produces effects egg health and can cause early pregnancy loss. And, last but not least, my low ovarian reserve is simply genetics. Women are born with the number of eggs they will have for a lifetime, and mine are quickly running out. 

However, there is hope. We've been fortunate enough to be accepted for treatment by the worlds foremost expert in reproductive health. With your donations, we will be able to get the expert treatment that is required to work with my delicate medical situation in order to finally get pregnant. There are no guarantees, but our faith is bigger than our fears. 

We have already spent over $20,000 of our own money in this process, and insurance doesn't cover any treatments. It was not an easy decision to create this site and ask for help. It took a lot of coaxing from our very dear family and friends to reach out and ask for a helping hand. We have so much love to give and know that one day our prayers will be answered with a child. 

There is no way to fully thank a person willing to give in order to be a part of our miracle. We are beside ourselves with the generosity and support we have already received from all of you. The simplest thing we can do is to say thank you. Thank you for being a part of our journey and keeping our hopes alive to keep trying.
