Trisomy 18 care for Baby Frederick

Donation protected
My friends Rachel and Nate are expecting their second child, Harrison. When they went to the ultrasound to find out the sex, the doctor noticed several abnormalities. They were advised to come back for an amnio. With the amnio, they found a chromosomal anomaly called, Trisomy 18, which causes severe developmental delays due to an extra chromosome 18. Through further ultrasounds, they also found a critical heart defect called, Tetrology of Fallot with pulmonary stenosis. Right now, mom's body is doing all of the work to keep baby Harrison alive. Once he is born he won't be able to breathe on his own.

They haven't given up hope, but the doctors have advised them to prepare for Harrison to have a very short life. The money that is raised will help Rachel and Nate prepare for the worst outcome as well as all of the medical bills that lay before them. Any amount donated will help and they are so grateful for anyone who can lend a hand.

From Rachel and Nate: " Though Harrison's time with us will be brief, every second we may have to spend with him will be special and what we would love is to make a memory that will last as long as we want him to be in our lives, forever."
