Baby Ethan Young

Katrina is in the hospital at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. She was visiting friends and family in the area when her water broke on the morning of Saturday, January 20th (only 4 weeks after she had an emergency appendectomy)!  Because she was only 24wks along with her second son (Ethan Charles), this caused some serious complications. The fluid that protects the baby is constantly leaking and the doctors are doing everything they can to prevent pre-term labor.

If all goes well, Katrina will be in the hospital until week 34 of her pregnancy.  This will be the safest time to deliver Baby Ethan.  The best case scenario means Katrina will be in the hospital for 10 weeks and Baby Ethan will have a stay in the NICU after he is born.  Unfortunately, the situation is too precarious to transfer her to OU Medical Center in OKC. The travel could cause her to go into labor, so even a Helicopter transport is too risky.  In the meantime,  Jonathan and Jerry will be traveling a lot between OKC and Dallas so they can spend time with Katrina.

Please join us in praying for the Young Family as they are in this time of need.  It is a daily emotional roller coaster as Katrina and baby are being constantly monitored for signs of labor and distress.  Let's, as a community, take as much of the financial burden of their growing hospital bills off of them as we can!  Any amount will be a help and a huge relief to the Youngs.
