Hello, my name is Amy Nehring and I am the owner of Life Long Photography by Amy. I met Ashlie towards the end of 2015 to originally take her college graduation pictures and I never knew from that moment on we would grow a beautiful friendship. She is married to her wonderful and supportive husband, Robert, and were to expect beautiful twin girls in June 2016.
Four weeks ago, Ashlie started to have complications and was admitted to the Kaiser L&D for observavtion where they found out that Baby A was trying to become Earth side a little to early. She was then put on extreme bedrest with only restroom privilages and was to stay laying completely flat for the next 4 weeks. On February 13th, 2016 she was then transferred to Community Regional for better observation in case she was to deliver the babies preterm and they could be in CRMC NICU.
On Monday evening, they found out devestating news that Baby A no longer had her amniotic sac and with every bathroom visit, her umbilical cord would come out and have to be put back in. They were told that Baby A would be born in just a few hours and asked to make the biggest decision that no parent should have to make. The initial plan was to birth Baby A and try to keep Baby B in for a few more days or even weeks if possible.
I recieved a call at 2am on February 17th, 2016 that Ashlie delivered two amazing baby girls named Brooklyn (baby a) and Autumn (baby b) at 23weeks and 2days. Autumn was born at 2:05am weighing 1.5 lbs and is still in the NICU but doing amazing. She was born kicking and screaming while already wanting to breathe on her own. The staff imediately took Autumn to the NICU to try and save her life while Brooklyn got to rest peacefully on her mothers chest and got to meet daddy, grandma, uncle, and myself. Brooklyn was born at 1:49am weighing 1.15 lbs and passed away at 3:30am sleeping peacefully on mama's chest.
This fund was created to help Ashlie and Robert put their sweet baby to rest. Every penny helps and even if you cannot donate, please say a prayer for the healing of this family and that Autumn will be able to thrive while her sister watches over her.
Also, please pray for every parent that has ever had to lose a child and that they may seek healing and comfort.
Thank you,
Amy
