Amy & Dustin's Angel Baby

Donation protected
After experiencing a difficult miscarriage in 2016, Amy & Dustin were so excited to find out they were expecting once again. They eagerly awaited their baby girl's arrival. When Amy was 32 weeks pregnant, doctors were unable to find a heartbeat. After a long induction that lasted through Christmas, Amy underwent a C-Section three days later. Leila Isabella Alise was born on December 26th at 1:34pm surrounded by her adoring parents, family and friends. It was a day we will never forget — a day of gratitude and joy worthy of their beautiful baby girl.

As difficult as these days have been, Amy & Dustin feel blessed and grateful for the precious time they were given with their baby girl and look forward to seeing her again in heaven one day. Although her time here on this side of heaven was short, we know her life will continue to have a profound impact on all those who know her and her parents story.

We are asking family, friends and those touched by their journey to contribute financially as they walk through this heavy season. Our hope is to alleviate any financial burden created by unexpected medical and memorial expenses as well as provide a comfortable cushion for them to take proper bereavement leave. While the road ahead of them may seem difficult, Amy and Dustin, along with their families, are thankful for the peace found in Jesus and know His hope will carry them into the future.

Thank you for your support and continued prayers. Your contribution means more than words can express to Amy & Dustin.

Here is a message from Amy:

Leila Isabella Alise — Born a little after 1:30pm on 12/26/19 3.6 lbs 17 inches (at just 32 weeks). She was born with daddy’s lips, ears, & toes. She has mommy’s nose, long legs, & fingers. She had a full head of dark hair (hello, heartburn), but sweet blonde eyebrows. She was born beautiful & perfect in every way, completely at peace. Her name means “beautiful night”, and we feel though this is our darkest night and deepest grief, we know that joy will come in the morning. Our sweet moments with her after birth were filled with such joy. I watched my husband instantly become a father and love her so tenderly. I am amazed by his strength and how well he has loved me and cared for me despite his own pain. We have an army of friends and family who have literally showed up, prayed, fed us, and supported us during the longest week of our life. Some of them leaving their own Christmas plans to be and sit with us. One day I hope I can comprehend how supported and loved we are. And baby girl was already loved by so many. This very tragic, unfair chapter of our story is just beginning as I physically heal from her birth and we both start the journey of healing and living life with our first child in heaven. Thank you for your love, texts, prayers and everything else. Keep the texts and love coming. I’ve learned in my 32 years that God is so close to the broken-hearted. Even when it doesn’t make sense and no matter the level of our pain or anger, he is near and still good. I’ll continue to look at the miracles He’s allowed me to experience and draw from those moments when I feel doubt. I’m thankful that I have so many friends who have prayed when I’m too tired and confused to pray. Im still recovering in the hospital, but would love your continued prayers as we walk this out for the weeks and months to come. We miss our baby girl a lot already, but know that we will see her again real soon.
