Friends. Chris and Izzy endured an incredible amount of painstaking twists and turns in 2016 with regard to their adoption(s). Beautiful baby Zeke is finally here and had a pretty safe and healthy first few weeks.
Recently (and suddenly) Isabel noticed that Zeke had begun vomitting after feedings. The vomit had become more intense and more frequent, so she was (naturally) alarmed and took Zeke to his pediatrician. The pediatrician then ordered an ultrasound at which time, it was confirmed that he has a condition called pyloric stenosis. It is basically a blockage of food at the stomach outlet. It is somewhat common (2-4 babies in every 1000). The poor little guy was somewhat dehydrated and definitely ravenously hungry, which prompted the doctor to plan an emergency surgery within the next 48 hours. Imagine taking your infant to the doctor, only to be immediately admitted into the hospital for surgery.
Chris and Isabel were initially successfull in raising funds to bring their babie(s) home. However, they certainly didn't plan funding for an emergency surgery.
If you feel led to help out, please consider donating. This time of transition is so incredbly difficult for their family, much less the burden of unexpected finances. If you are unable to help out financially, please pray for their family. Pray specifically for rest, peace, comfort and health.
