Many of you have been wondering what's going on with little Zackariah Alexander. It all started with a rough  night , hardly any sleep but nothing too alarming.  Dad & Mom felt like he should see his doctor because of his inconsistant breathing. He hadn't been sick very long but it seemed neccessary. Joanna made an appointment to see his doctor Wednesday of last week. Which was the following day after a rough night. Little Zack is 9 months old and has seemed very healthy up to this point. This is his first bad flu.
 At the doctors office, every person in the office that day was having a look at Zack. Joanna started to realize that this may be more serious then the flu but still had no idea what was going on. The next thing she hears is he is being transported to cape cod hospital via ambulance.  Her heart almost completely stopped. These words went flying right over her head and so did the days to follow. Upon arrival they immediately diagnosed him with bi-lateral pneumonia. The next thing she heard is that he was being Med-flighted to Childrens ICU in Boston. They did not have what they needed to save his life at Cape Cod Hospital.
The week to follow has been nothing but a rollercoaster for his parents who have been by his side day and night praying  for his recovery.  He is still in the ICU. He has been completely sedated and on life support.  He has not been awake this whole time which is very scary for his parents. He has a VERY serious case of pneumonia. Amoung other complications this poor baby has had a very rough week+ and has a long road of recovery ahead of him but it is very hopeful he will pull through. 
 We are starting to hear good news but it is not over. 
All of these circumstances have created a great financial strain on this family. Mason and Joanna are litterally sleeping on a twin bed in a family waiting area outside the ICU. Because it is touch and go with this little boy  , Mason is not able to work.
Food and personal care are not easy to come by. They have 4 other children who are being cared for by family members. They have household bills and expenses that they could really use help with at this time. 
 My hope is to raise some money however much it may be so they can cover their expenses while Maosn is unable to go to work . I know some family members and friends have asked what they can do to help. This would really help this family. 5, 10 dollars is enough to get a cup of tea with a peace of mind that the bank account will not go dry. 
 This experience has been extremely emotional on the parents, they miss their other children so bad. They are holding on to hope that this will all be over and life will resume as normal. Any amount of encouragement for them would be awesome. And we all know what financial stress is like, with that said lets raise some $ for them.
