Baby Zach's Premature Medical Expenses

On June 7th we were unexpectedly blessed with a baby boy, Zachary Dale Stolz, after only 31 weeks of development.  Hannah went to the hospital because she didn't feel any kicks from the baby. The doctors ran some tests and found that he wasn't moving or breathing so an emergency C-section was the only option. Turns out our little gymnast had wrapped his umbilical cord tightly around his neck so we were quite lucky Hannah went in as he may have died without intervention. He was only a measly 2 lbs 15 oz and being so early a team of NICU nurses from Denver drove up, stabilized him, and took him down to Littleton Adventist Hospital immediately after his birth.

We are overjoyed to have Zach with us and love him beyond words.  We are thankful he is healthy and in the very best care. He will be in the NICU anywhere from 4-8 weeks and possibly more if he has any other complications which would be revealed from one of his battery of tests. Unfortunately, along with the best care also comes a large bill. We are staying, as a family, at an extended stay hotel right near the hospital so we can spend time with Zach and Ryan, our eldest son.

Many of you have asked how you can help.  This is one way that will go a long way towards providing for Zach's medical care, allowing him to be near his family while he stays in Denver, and lessening some of the financial stress.
