Walter Bertholotte Jr. was shot in his head Friday, January 15th unexpectedly. Walter is a 4 year old energetic boy that loves to listen to music, dance, play football with his older brother and is the life of the party to his family. Since, his gunshot wound he had to undergo several surgeries and now trying to recover from a damaged skull. The doctors are doing the best they can to help my son recover but we cannot do this without your support, prayers and monetary donations.
Walter has to get a piece of his skull removed and unfortunately Medicaid won’t cover his procedures for skull replacement. Walter skull replacement costs $13k to replace his skull and get him back to normal. My child needs me. I need my son. I am a single mother of 5 and have to leave my job to care for my son. I need your support. Walter was born in New Orleans where most of our family is and we try hard to keep him active into sports and positive outlets as all of my children are growing up fatherless.
Walter is an active and independent kid before his incident and I would do anything to get him back to his old routine person. But now he won’t have the opportunity to do the things he love the most and it’s breaking me slowly. Can you imagine your 4yr old son being shot and there’s nothing you can do but sit there and watch him suffer? So im making this gofundme in hopes to raise enough money so he can get his skull fixed and he doesn’t have to live with constant pain all day.
If this goes well, my son can be back to normal. He’s just a kid! He don’t deserve to be without his skull.
