Baby Wade's Medical Care Needs

Late 2023, Reagan and I found out we were expecting our first child, but around 8 weeks, complications arose, leading to a heartbreaking miscarriage. During that season of mourning, we leaned heavily on prayer and trusting God’s plan, even when it was hard to understand.

Not long after, God opened a door for us to take a job in New Bern, NC. Though leaving friends and family was difficult, we felt an undeniable peace about the move. Just before packing for this new chapter, we received the exciting news that we were expecting again—a true blessing!

Shortly after settling into New Bern, however, we learned that this pregnancy would be high-risk. Baby Wade, our sweet boy, has been diagnosed with a rare condition called gastroschisis. This means his intestines are developing outside of his body, which has caused growth restrictions and will require specialized care.

Due to the complexity of this condition, we’ve been referred to a hospital in Greenville, NC, about an hour from our home, where we’ve been working with an amazing team of doctors. After Wade’s birth in March, he will need to stay in the NICU for 1-2 months to undergo surgery and receive critical care. During this time, Reagan and I will temporarily relocate to Greenville to be as close to Wade as possible.

While we trust in God’s provision and guidance, these added challenges have brought unexpected financial burdens, including medical bills and the cost of temporarily living away from home. We’re reaching out to ask for your prayers and support during this time. We know that God’s hand is on Wade and the doctors caring for him, and we are so grateful for the strength He provides.
