Baby Wade’s heart journey

Hi, my name is Brandi and I'm setting up this go fund me page to benefit Kristen and Bob DeVisser. Kristen and I met just over 10 years ago right before our husbands deployed together and we became the best of friends.

Please help! Kristen and Bob have been told their newborn son, Wade Jeffrey, will need at least 4 open heart surgeries. He was born with a rare heart defect known as Hypopastic left heart syndrome (HLHS). With HLHS, the left side of Wade's heart is extremely underdeveloped and can't pump blood well. Without treatment, HLHS is fatal. Wade's expected to have his first open heart surgery this Thursday, March 23rd at just under 1 week old! Wades' future will be full of challenges and unknowns, but for now, he is stable and getting cuddled whenever allowed. In addition to the HLHS, Wade was born with a cleft lip and palate that will be repaired later. My heart aches for them. They deserve to have their family together.

Let's help show this family all the love and support we can! Any donation would be a blessing to them. I'd love to make this difficult time a bit easier and lessen the worry about finances so they can take some time to be fully present with each other and their children. All money raised will go towards medical expenses not covered by insurance, providing the opportunity for their family to be together, and travel expenses.
