Baby Vincent Funeral Service

Donation protected
Vincent was born October11 2015 (at the Shell Station in Romeoville). He was first admitted to Edwards hospital for failure to thrive at one month old.  He only weighed 6 lbs. 2 oz. which was below his intitial birth weight.  During this vist to the hospital, doctors noticed his head circumference and shape were abnormal.  After performing an MRI, Vincent was diagnosed with Colpocephaly. Colpocephaly is a congenital brain abnormality in which the occipital horns - the posterior or rear portion of the lateral ventricles (cavities) of the brain -- are larger than normal because white matter in the posterior cerebrum has failed to develop or thicken.

Vincent was released from the hospital however he continued to struggle with sucking coordination.  He was sent to a lactation specialist, speech therapist, and GI doctor.  At 2 months old, Doctors decided to put in a GTube.  Vincent has issues with his lungs, seizures, apnea, regulating temperature and severe reflux. He was in and out of the hospital for stomach bleeding in March and April of this year, requiring surgery to repair the stomach.  At 7 months he went in for surgery to have an NJ tube and central line put in.  He was rescently tested for Prader-Willi and Angelman Syndrome.   He is currently at Lurie's Children's Hospital until he is stable enough to be moved to Home .  They are hoping he will be able to return home some time july.

We have not update this information recently, but would like to inform everyone that Vincent received his angel wings on June 17, 2017 @ 4:48pm.
