Tru'Ly was born on December 27, she was conceived after I was stabbed by a family member suffering with mental illness. I received life saving surgery at UCI to repair an ovarian vein that was punctured. During surgery an existing blood clot was removed which I believe is why I hadn't had another child since 19 years ago when my first daughter was born. As you can imagine my medical bills amounted to roughly $150,000. I payed out around $20,000 in deductibles and copays.
In May of last year, when Tru'Ly was 5 months old she was rushed into Choc with intussusception, this is when your intestines telescope on itself. I just started making payments toward the $5,000 deductible for this surgery in January. As a single mother of a teen adult and an infant this has become a financial burden. To intensify the situation, Tru'Ly took another trip to Choc in February for an abscess that needed to be surgically drained. Hence adding another deductible of $6,500, the rates are higher this year :(
Due to the extensively high medical bills it has become extremely difficult to pay for medical expenses and keep insurance for my children. All of the bills from me being stabbed are finally paid. I have worked hard, by holding down two jobs, but I am having a difficult time continuing keep paying these amounting medical bills. Once I pay off these medical bills, I will be able to support my family with one job and spend more time at home, raising my baby.
Any financial assistance is a God send. Thank you for taking the time to read this, good thoughts and prayers will certainly help us too.
