The friends and family of Amy and Wesley Nicholes humbly ask you to donate to help us raise funds for Truett's ongoing fight against brain cancer.

In the first week of 2023 at not even 2 months old, Baby Truett was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma. Medulloblastoma is a rare and extremely aggressive type of brain cancer. This cancerous mass was located within the cerebellum putting pressure on his brain stem. Truett would spend the next 178 days in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with his mom and dad by his side day and night.

For nearly 6 months Baby Truett endured things no child should have to go through; procedures to relieve fluid pressure from his brain and place shunts to filter the fluid to his liver, he was given an NG tube and eventually a gastronomy tube for nourishment, a broviac/central line for chemotherapy, respiratory arrest, several intubations, seizures and spasms, a tracheotomy procedure, and a six hour surgery to attempt to remove the brain tumor.

The surgeon presumed that he was able to remove 98-100% of the tumor. After the procedure Baby Truett was intubated for a little over a month, but this allowed him to finally rest peacefully while his body healed from all the trauma it had been through. Unfortunately, his fight is not yet over.

After completing two out of the six planned chemo treatments, kidney damage forced doctors to stop that treatment plan. Sadly, the latest MRI showed that the cancer has come back and the tumors have metastasized. He is no longer a candidate for chemo due to the inevitable damage it would cause to his organs and radiation is too dangerous for someone his age. Right now, sadly there is just not much else the hospitals can do.

Truett has been back at home now for a couple of months while Amy and Wes have been working with many pediatric naturopathic oncologists to help Baby Truett's body heal naturally. Many of these options are quite expensive and insurance does not cover them, which is why we are asking for your financial help...asking for you to help give Baby Truett a chance to kick cancer's butt once and for all!

"Truett is so happy despite all that he has been through. Everyday we pray for a miracle for Tru, that he's provided with the strength his body needs and the courage and endurance for all of us. We may not know what the future holds for Truett, but we know that God is so good, He is the waymaker, and He already knows His plans for Truett. Truett's purpose in life is much larger than we will ever understand, and his story does not end here. We come to all our family and friends asking for continued prayers of strength and full body healing for our sweet, determined baby boy." - Amy Nicholes
