Baby Theo's Story

I recently reached out to a friend that had a new baby boy on May 15th. Baby Theo was fashionably late making his debut in this world but was instantly loved by his mama shannah, daddy Lawrence and big brother and sister, Ben and Ava. Shannah had posted a few pictures that day and then I noticed everything stopped. Her page was quiet ( and if you know shannah you know that's very VERY unusual). I sent shannah a message to see why she wasn't posting more pics of adorable Theo and what she told me broke my heart. Theo has been fighting so hard at sick kids hospital since that day she posted that picture. Turns out Theo had swallowed a lot of meconium and fluid at birth as well as came out with his cord around his neck a few times. Doctors informed Theo's parents that he'd need surgery on his intestines and that things would be rough for a while. After Theo came out of surgery he was fighting as hard as he could...he needed assistance with feeding tubes and a breathing machine and many other things including constant monitoring. Shannah hasn't been home since Theo has been born and Lawrence is working from home in order to care for their other two children and to be able to commute to see shannah and baby Theo...and Shannah sleeps in a hospital recliner so her baby can have his mama by his side. We all know what a financial strain these types of situations can put on families.

Fast forward to today...baby Theo is eating a bit on his own and starting to be weaned off his pain medication from his surgery but he still has a long road to recovery after this. They are being transferred to another hospital where Theo can recover and they will be there for a few more weeks. I am reaching out to all of the amazing people in shannah and Lawrence's life in hopes that you can help in any way to help with the financial burden that has been sprung on them in what is supposed to be one of the happiest times of their lives.
