Baby Theo Ashley

My name is Renee Pyatt and I am a family friend of the Petry Family. My daughter Kailyn and I are establishing this Go Fund Me page for sweet Baby Theo Ashley, Ty and Hannah. During Hannah's pregnancy, they discovered that Theo had Down Syndrome, cardiac complications and concerns with his intestines. Precious Theo was born on June 22nd with an obstruction in his bowels and underwent his first surgery June 27th. July 12th, Theo was moved to the Cardiac ICU in preparation for his heart surgery. He needs to have 3 issues fixed; expanding the aorta, closing the PFO a hole in his heart, and the PDA which has been kept open to help the aorta pump blood through the body. July 27th, they found a lump on Theo’s neck and he was sedated to protect his tubes and wires. They soon discovered that Theo had pneumonia and cardiac surgery had to be postponed. It became clear that Theo’s hospital stay was going to extend longer than they had initially hoped. Ty’s paternity leave came to an end and he returned to work full-time. The lump on Theo’s neck started growing and became more of a concern for the doctors. The heart surgery continued to be delayed. At 6 weeks, the doctors biopsied the lump and he was diagnosed with a staph infection. More antibiotics were added and the lump decreased in size. As of this past weekend, Theo’s white blood cell counts are very high and he has been battling fevers up to 103 degrees. The doctors are looking for other sources of infection and heart surgery is being delayed even further. Poor Theo’s lungs have been working too hard and have inflammation and fluid around them. Heart surgery should help that issue, unfortunately, Theo must fight this infection in order to have the surgery he needs.

On top of all of Baby Theo’s health issues, the Ashley’s have had repeated issues with their washer flooding their home. Water has gotten into their vents and flooded throughout the basement and garage. They will need a new washer and some home repairs as well. Due to Hannah and Ty being at the hospital most of their days, the dogs at home are feeling the stress and have been having anxiety, requiring vet visits and medications. As difficult of a situation as this is, it’s so hard to ask for help. Prayers have been ongoing, and we are seeing God’s hands in little Theo’s life daily, however at this time, the Ashley’s really need some financial assistance as they continue to live and breathe Theo’s health issues. Hospital bills are coming in, and the stress of everyday life is adding up. Caring for Theo in the hospital and maintaining life at home is exhausting for the Ashley’s, both physically and emotionally. Each day new health concerns are brought to light and Theo's hospital stay is being extended with no end in sight. The Ashley’s have great faith, and they know that God’s plan is greater than they could ever imagine. Theo is exactly where he needs to be, and we are grateful for the skilled medical staff who care for him daily.

Funds raised will be used for Theo's medical expenses, a new washer and home repairs from the damage the flooding washer has caused, living expenses due to Hannah's inability to work due to Theo's medical needs, gas and food expenses due to their travels to and from the hospital and requiring meals on the go. The Ashley's are grateful for all of the prayers, meals and gifts, and are humbled by the outpouring of love from their family and friends. If you could prayerfully consider donating what you can, this young family would have some of their stresses eased as they focus on the most important feat at hand, the health of their precious Baby Theo.
