Hi guys,

As some of you know, we found out our precious baby Skylar was diagnosed with Down Syndrome, Trisomy 21, at our 23-week scan.

Shortly after her DS diagnosis, we were told that she will need surgery immediately following her birth to address a serious medical condition called Duodenal Atresia. She will be placed in the NICU after birth and will remain there until she has completely healed, which generally takes 3-4 weeks.

While this news came with many emotions, it has also filled our hearts with an even deeper love and commitment to her journey…..

As parents, it’s hard to put into words the mix of fear and hope we feel—but we know Skylar is a fighter, and we’re ready to walk this path with her every step of the way.
