Baby Sophia and her family need your help

I felt very compelled to start this fundraiser. My name is Rheanna and myself and my husband Troy are Brittney's Aunt and Uncle. My hope is for everyone to share a little piece of their heart, so my niece and her partner River can continue to fight with everything they got . They need to be able to focus on their sweet Sophia and to put all their effort into her care, while also caring for their other child; Max ( the best big brother to Sophia). We need your support, we need to show them they are loved, cared about and they matter.

Sophia was born with a heart that had MANY defects. Her case is very rare and came with multiple challenges and surgeries. She is not even two yet and has endured more than most have in a lifetime. Baby Sophia knows nothing else. Feeding tube's, nurses, doctor's, support staff, physio, social worker's, varying specialists have been in her life since day one. Her Mom and Dad worry every second of every day for her and what her future may look like . They fight for her and advocate her with a passion I have never seen. Sophia responds with the biggest smiles each day. She is full of laughter and joy NO MATTER what she has to endure and her light shines bright for all to see. She is a happy , sassy, funny and most of all strong little girl who was meant to be here . Her whole family is cheering for her.

We have learned Sophia is now in heart failure. Despite the best efforts of EVERY Doctor , her heart will not get better , the only option left is a heart transplant. This comes with so many challenges for Sophia , her Mom, Dad , brother and the rest of her family. Sophia's Dad has stayed home tending to her many medical needs while Brittney works two jobs to try and make things work. Brittney has had to take more time off and might not be able to work for quite some time while they wait for a match ( they need to remain close , which is 2 hours away from home) . I have watched my niece care for her little family with everything she has . I won't sugar coat this. It is real. It is truth. It comes with much desperation. They need help. They need to focus on Sophia's long journey ahead and not worry if they will have a home to go back to or if hydro will get disconnected. The bills will not stop while they enter the fight of their lives. Anything helps. They are grateful for any assistance given.
