Hi! For those that don’t know me, I’m Maddie. You happened upon this page because my sister, Alex and her husband, Jamie need our help. Most of you know Alex as a very outgoing, bubbly person. She’s loud and she’s hilarious. She has graciously allowed me to share her story.

My sister Alex is the most compassionate person you will ever meet. She and her husband Jamie have always gone out of their way to take care of me and my sister Jerriann and have ensured we always have everything we need. They will be the best parents, but the road to Baby Smith has not been easy. With all of that being said, Alex is not one to ask for help or even to accept it, but we all need help every once in a while.

Jamie and Alex have been trying to grow their family for almost 2 years. It wasn’t until a year trying to conceive that they would seek professional help, where Alex was diagnosed with PCOS. They then pursued the next most affordable option which was intrauterine insemination also known as IUI, and 7 rounds of clomid. After three unsuccessful rounds, they were left devastated. The next step they were told is IVF but the cost of treatment is more than discouraging, it seemed impossible.

Unfortunately, this is something insurance does not cover which means they will have to pay out of pocket. It is a very pricy procedure (15,000-20,000) IVF is emotionally and physically taxing. Let’s take some of the burden off of her financially so she can focus on her treatment.
