Emergency fund to save baby Shivansh Shrestha

Donation protected
My name is Thupten Chakrishar, I am the co-founder of the Himalayan Elders Project, and today I am working with the "Steps to Kindness" organization in Kathmandu to help four-month-old Shivansh Shrestha.

This four-months-old baby is suffering from Biliary Atresia and needs an urgent liver transplant. The father of the baby Bikash Chandra Shrestha is donating a part of his liver; however, the procedure costs about $35,000, which the family does not have.

The poor Nepali family has to travel to New Delhi, India, next week for the procedure, and despite donations from some of us (about $4800), the family is far from reaching their goal. That's why I am reaching out to you today. YOU CAN HELP.

Ven. Bhumang Rinpoche from Steps to Kindness and Nepali singer Raju Lama from the Mongolian Heart band have been appealing to the public about the little boy. It's been a beautiful realization of how very generous and kind-hearted people are.

If you visit to connect with the family directly, the father's name is Bikash Chandra Shrestha; his phone number in Nepal is 9849255585. [UPDATE: The family is in India right now and their number in India is +91 [phone redacted]]

There's a Tibetan saying; "drops of water make an ocean." Any amount you donate today will be deeply appreciated.

As the family travels to India next week, they trust the goodness in humanity will save their boy, and thus they are taking the leap-of-faith. This page, this fundraiser is their primary source of funds. So, please help donate today.
