Baby Saul in NICU: Support for Victoria

My friend Victoria just gave birth yesterday. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the baby is in NICU. Several hours after baby Saul was born, Victoria noticed that he hadn’t had a bowel movement. It wasn’t until then it was discovered that he had an imperforate rectum. Nineteen hours after giving birth, she was on the road driving herself to Seattle to await her baby, who was being flown in to Seattle Children’s Hospital. She is expected to be in Seattle for a week for his recovery after his surgery.

So, travel expenses and baby items are overwhelming this single mom of 3 (Leanna 3, Maria 2, and Baby Saul 1 day old). Victoria is the sole breadwinner for her family, which has left her in a bind. Update: Baby Saul just got out of surgery. Everything went well. Thank you for all the thoughtful messages and prayers. I know Victoria is so grateful!

update: baby Saul was moved from the NICU last night. As of right now he has a stoma bag. And in 3 months will have the surgery to create the incision in his rectum. As of right now we don’t know when mom and baby will be discharged. Toria is out of work right now and is the sole provider for her and her 3 kids. Let’s help her as much as we can, she deserves this. Thank you all for the continued support.
