Last night, Monday, November 23, 2020, my friend Angelica’s beautiful 1 year old baby girl Salima swallowed 2 lithium button batteries and is currently fighting for her life. We are beyond devastated and praying for a miracle of mercy from the Creator. They rushed her to the hospital for emergency surgery. The battery acid has already eaten through her esophagus and surrounding tissues, and is dangerously close to her aorta. There is concern for the battery acid reaching her aorta. Salima is already in the hospital often due to life threatening Glycogen Storage Disease (GSD). Two of her siblings also suffer from GSD. Angelica is desperately in need of funds, Dad being unable to work to the full extent that he's used to due to staying home with the 5 other kids, and they need help with extreme medical expenses, travel costs, and food to be delivered for Angelica (mom) to eat at the hospital without having to leave.
