Baby Sage's Medical Bill

My son Sage was initially hospitalized on January 27th due to breathing issues. He was diagnosed with Bronchiolitis which we thought would be a hospital stay of just a couple of days in the PICU (pediatric ICU). Once his breathing got better it was discovered he would need emergency surgery for an ulcer which caused the contents of his stomach and intestines to reside outside of the intended organs. His surgery was done 1 day before his first birthday which cause him to spend the majority of his 1st birthday sedated and on a breathing tube. After about a 10 day recovery in the PICU we were sent home only to find out less than 24hrs later that the incision area for his surgery had gotten infected and he ended up contracting the flu after being readmitted. In total we sustained a 3 week stay in the hospital which kept me from work for 4 weeks due to the aftercare necessary for the initial healing of his incision. He is currently doing well and still has a ways to go in terms of his surgery site healing, gaining back the weight he lost while hospitalized, as well as follow-up appointments to figure how and why this happened. My family and I are requesting your assistance in this unexpected financial predicament we are in. Health insurance has helped however, we are still covering the cost of a previous hospital stay. Any financial help is greatly appreciated as we are anticipating further medical care for Sage.
