**UPDATE**
From Sage’s mommy:
Hi everyone,

I wanted to give an update on Sage. She is no longer requiring oxygen and is breathing on her own now. She still requires the feeding tube for now but she's getting better and stronger everyday.
She is one strong baby! The doctors are very happy with the progress she has been making since receiving the Baby Big (medication) last Wednesday.

Thank you for all the love and prayers you guys have given my family. Will give more updates soon.

We love you all ❤️

Hi all! My name is Narlet and I am Sage’s aunt. My sister, Nicole and her husband, Allen rushed Sage to urgent care after being unresponsive on Tuesday night. As soon as they arrived, the staff called 911. They transferred her to San Antonio Hospital in Upland, where they ran tests, including a spinal tap to try and find a diagnosis. After, they transferred her to CHOC.

They finally diagnosed her with botulism. This condition is caused by a bacteria that affects the receptors of her brain. It affects her mobility and she's experiencing temporary paralysis that started from her head which explained why she was unresponsive. The doctors caught it in time before the toxins could cause any more damage. They gave her the baby big medication on Wednesday evening and they will keep her in the ICU to monitor her in case her breathing gets worse. In that case, they will intubate her. She is currently being fed through an NG tube as she is unable to swallow on her own.

We are fundraising to help my sister and her husband they both have to stop working to be at the hospital with their ailing baby girl. Even though the medication has been administered, it will only halt the toxin, not reverse any damage that has been done. Sage will eventually get better on her own. The doctors are estimating she will be in the hospital for at least a few weeks. Because it will be a slow process.

They currently do not qualify for any government funding because they already exhausted their medical leave from when she was born. Sage is just 2 weeks shy from turning 6 months old. Any amount will help! If you’re unable to donate, we ask that you please keep Sage in your prayers.

Thank you so much in advance!
