Baby Rowan Jeffers

Dear Friends,

I am asking for your help for my friend, Alana, and her husband, Kris, who recently lost their newborn baby boy, Rowan.

On September 21, 2022, Alana experienced a placental abruption, causing her to go into labor at only 25 weeks pregnant. She drove herself from work to South Shore Hospital in active labor, where doctors delivered her beautiful boy via emergency c-section. Baby Rowan spent the next 11 days in the NICU, fighting fiercely to beat the growing list of complications that arose from being born so early. Despite the immense love of his family and the care he received from the incredible medical team, he ultimately let his parents know that it was just too much. Alana and Kris helped Rowan find peace on October 2.

Alana and Kris are grateful for the 11 days they had with Rowan, but are naturally heartbroken and grieving. They humbly ask for your support as they take time away from work to learn how to move forward from this tragedy and continue to support their 7-month-old son, August.
