Roman Louis Barrows was welcomed into this world on Wednesday, December 18th, by his parents Caleb and Nicole Barrows. He was ready to go home to the wild antics of his older brother, Zion, when they discovered an issue with his heart. He was immediately transferred to Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, where he has been receiving incredible care from the medical team there. He is scheduled to undergo an initial surgery this week and will have a second procedure in 2-3 months. The next few days and weeks are still full of uncertainty, but one known reality is there will be a significant financial burden on Caleb and Nicole during this time. Caleb is a church planter and pastor based in Lyons, Kansas, and their health coverage comes from a medical cost share provider, which will only cover part of the cost of Roman's care. Any financial support you are able to give will help with medical bills, hotel stays, meals and gas money as Caleb and Nicole navigate this challenging season. They feel all the love and support and are so grateful for this community that has come around them.
