Baby Roan Sumrall's Memorial Fund
Donation protected
This gofundme is being organized on behalf of Katie, Chase, Sawyer, & Roan Sumrall by Emaline Brady, Katie's cousin.
On January 12, Katie and Chase went in for a routine checkup on their baby boy. Unfortunately the checkup did not go as planned. At 20 weeks gestation, Katie and Chase had to endure the hardest news a parent would hear -- baby Roan had no heartbeat. The cord had wrapped around the neck of their, otherwise healthy, baby boy. On January 13, Katie delivered the most beautiful baby angel. They were able to hold him and say their goodbyes.
Katie and Chase are some of the most loving, generous people I've ever been blessed to know. They would never ask for anything. I found out that they were looking at cremation diamonds and knew that this could provide an opportunity for all of us to help. We are looking to raise funds to assist them with this process, as it can be expensive. Anything helps, no donation is too small! All funds raised will go directly to the family to assist the memorialization of baby Roan Sumrall.
What is a cremation diamond? For a diamond to form in the earth’s mantle, there needs to be heat, pressure, time, and carbon. There are machines that can simulate these same conditions, and grow a real diamond from the carbon in your loved ones ashes. The diamond can then be set however you like, and worn as a daily remembrance.
