My beautiful grandson Remi was born with a rare and serious heart condition called Transposition of the Great Arteries (TGA)—a condition where the arteries carrying blood from the heart to the lungs and body are not connected as they should be. Alongside TGA, Remi has other heart complications that make his situation even more critical.

Remi is scheduled to undergo life-saving open-heart surgery tomorrow morning (May 12th). As you can imagine, this is an incredibly emotional and difficult time for our family.

My son wants nothing more than to be there for his wife, their two young children, and baby Remi—without the pressure of having to return to work during this time. In addition to lost income, the family is facing growing costs that quickly add up during long hospital stays. We want to give him the chance to focus solely on his family, to support his partner, and to be present for his children without the added financial burden.
