Hey y’all. Buck and I have been trying to conceive for a little over 2 years but have known from the start that a natural pregnancy was going to be hard. After struggling to conceive in his first marriage, Buck had some tests done that gave him results that made him believe he was unable to have kids of his own. As a couple, we decided to lean on God and trust in His plan for us instead of stressing over test results. I talked with my normal female doctor, and she referred us to Reproductive Biology Associates in Atlanta. After blood tests and analysis, we got some positive results! They were able to see some swimmers but not a lot, so there was a very small chance of natural conception. At that time, we were not quite ready for IVF. We had just gotten married and wanted to grow as a couple before we walked through the stress of IVF. Buck’s doctor prescribed him some medication that would help increase his levels, which it did, but still no pregnancy. After being on the medication for over 2 years, Dr. Witt suggested IVF again at Kenneth’s last appointment in January. We wanted to wait a little longer to start the IVF because, in November of 2024, a young family friend came to us and asked if we would consider adopting her unborn baby that was expected to be born in March or April. Throughout the adoption process, we grew even more excited about the thought of finally having a child that we could pour our love into. Sadly, that adoption fell through after the baby was born in March, and the mom stopped responding to us. After weeks of being heartbroken, we prayed, we talked with our families and friends, and we decided that we were ready to step into the IVF journey and try to grow our family.
