Anyone who knows Brooks can share first hand how they have been on the receiving end of unconditional love and support . This love and support knows no bounds and she will share it with ANYONE who needs it. Well this love found Brooks the perfect husband but we had to wish Brooks and Simon a bittersweet goodbye as they moved to Simon's home in Switzerland.
We were over the moon when they announced they were having a baby. It was tough for MOST of us living so far away from them and we waited with much anticipation for baby Oliver to arrive. The announcement that Baby Oliver had arrived quickly turned from excitement and joy into concern and worry as we learned that he had to be rushed to a Children's Hospital 45 minutes away from Brooks and Simon's home. Brooks made a speedy recovery after her c-section and they were provided a room at the Ronald McDonald (RMH) house next door to the Children's Hospital where baby Oliver is being cared for in St. Gallen, Switzerland.
They are about a week into their new life spending most of their waking hours bed-side with baby Oliver as the medical team searches for answers as to why he can't breathe on his own, move his extremities and thrive as a newborn should.
Simon and Brooks have been through more than most couples would endure in a lifetime. Since most of us can't be there in person to support them, with hugs, visits, meals etc. Let's take the pressure off of them in one way. The financial burden will add up as Simon and Brooks will have to pay part of the costs for their stay at the RMH. As well as their meals, gas, etc. Not mention baby Oliver's medical bills.
While Brooks and Simon would NEVER ask for this, imagine the love and support they will feel as they see these donations come in. If you are able please consider donating to this Go Fund Me.
