Hi! Thank you all for your continued love & prayers for Baby Oliver! Many of you have reached out asking if there's a way you can help support Baby Oliver, Erin, and Jeff. I'm Katie Penza (Erin Penza's sister), and I'm setting up this GoFundMe for anyone who would like to contribute to Baby Oliver's medical care and potential legal fees to help lessen the burden on their family during this difficult time. You know they have a hard time asking for help and are usually helping others :).

For those who don't know, Erin's labor and delivery had significant complications that led to an emergency c-section and caused intracranial hemorrhaging and seizures for Baby Oliver. Baby Oliver was left with a severe brain injury and was transported to Madison, Wisconsin for immediate specialized care. Doctors did not know if Oliver would make it, but he's a little fighter and continues to beat the odds.

The long-term effects of his brain damage are unknown at this time, but he has a full team of specialists working with him at UW Children's Hospital. Over the next few months (and beyond), Oliver will undergo many tests, monitoring, and therapies while they learn more about his condition, future prognosis, and long-term care needs. This includes things like:

Baby Oliver, Erin, and Jeff have a long road ahead. This care will need to continue with local providers (such as a nuerologist specialist) when he finally returns home to Green Bay. Our top priority is to provide Oliver with the best care possible for his long-term future and to enable him to have a high-quality life.
