Our dear friends Danny and Ange have a BEAUTIFUL granddaughter named Oaklyn.

Oaklyn came into this world not long ago on August 31, 2022. Since then, she has had an incredibly rough medical experience thus far in the short time she has blessed this family.

When she was less than 2 months old, this baby girl caught RSV. She battled the virus as best as she could and kept smiling despite a high fever and constant coughing. She required a 3-day stay in the ICU to overcome it. Very shortly after that, despite very limited contact with others, little Oaklyn caught COVID-19. With her immature immune system still compromised from RSV, COVID symptoms hit her pretty hard and again, she continued to smile through it! It seemed as soon as COVID was gone, another obstacle entered her life - Pneumonia.

Since then, she has had at least 10 ER visits with constant unexplained fevers. She was referred to an Immunologist and Pulmonologist. Her most recent visit showed both lungs inflamed with "atypical infiltrates."

Based on the immunology report, her numbers were concerning. She was then referred to Oncology. We are currently praying hard while awaiting results from Oncology and Pulmonology.

Keep in mind, Oaklyn is less than 5 months old.

This sweet girl has been sick for 3/4 of her life, and our hearts are absolutely breaking for her and her family.

Oaklyn's mom is a single mother who has had to miss so much work due to Oaklyn's health concerns. She has no support system aside from her parents, Danny and Ange. Ange has had to take a short leave from work to support her daughter through this incredibly challenging process Without being able to work, income has come to a standstill.
