Baby Norma

Hey guys!

if any of you have had the pleasure of knowing Chis and Chelbi, you’ll know that each individual has a heart of gold.

As you all know, their baby girl was born prematurely on October 6th with Trisomy 21 and a complete ASVD heart defect. T21 is only an added super power, but a quick google search will tell you; a complete AVSD occurs when there is a large hole in the center of the heart which allows blood to flow between all four chambers of the heart. How scary right!?

Chris and Chelbi have handled their beautiful daughter’s situation with grace and strength. As you can imagine, Norma is at a heightened risk for pretty much everything and has her first of possibly many surgeries looming in her near future.

On Tuesday March 14th, Norma was admitted to Renown Medical Center for viral pneumonia. During one of Norma’s examinations in the hospital Chelbi noticed that baby girls tummy was distended which led to further diagnostic tests.

They diagnosed an infection somewhere in Norma’s tummy and her white blood cells continue to rise. Due to Renown not having a neonatal cardiologist, they have decided to transfer Norma to Sunrise hospital in Las Vegas. Its in Norma’s best interest since we would rather her be where she can receive top care for her immediate needs.

As you can imagine, Chelbi has been unable to return to work. Norma needs her mommy around the clock for care, leaving the financial burden of not only household bills but medical bills on the shoulders of Chris.

I am asking for your help, to bring this beautiful family a little peace of mind. How blessed are we, to be able to afford certain luxuries; while two beautiful humans worry about the health of their sweet baby girl?
