Baby Noah Bilsback Fundraiser

Veronica and Evan Bilsback welcomed a beautiful baby boy, Noah Barrett Bilsback, to the world on August 18, 2023. Later that day, it was discovered by the hard working staff at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo, NY that he was born with a rare heart condition called Transposition of the Great Arteries or TGA.

TGA is a birth defect of the heart in which the two main arteries carrying blood out of the heart – the main pulmonary artery and the aorta – are switched in position. Oxygen-poor blood flows through the right side of the heart & goes back to the body without passing through the lungs. Oxygen-rich blood flows through the left side of the heart & goes directly back into the lungs without being pumped to the rest of the body.

As a result, Baby Noah was taken by ambulance to Strong Hospital in Rochester, NY the same day to receive the care he needed. This included his first of two surgeries, which went well.

Veronica, Evan and Noah have been at Strong Hospital ever since and are awaiting Noah's second surgery. The second surgery will be an intense full bypass where they will correct the transposed arteries.
