Dear Baby Nickolas was born with an extremely rare brain disorder caused by a chromosomal abnormality call Lissencephaly aka Miller Dieker Syndrome. This condition could leave Nikolas severely mentally challenged and could shorten his life expectancy. There is no way of telling the outcome, only Nickolas will write his own story as what he is capable of. Mommy and daddy will be his biggest advocates in his journey! Nickolas'  days are spent with occupational therapist, physical therapist, neonatologist, neurologists, speech pathologist, genetesis, social workers and nurses all putting a plan together for this sweet angel to assure that we can give him the best life possible.

This will become Nickolas'  normal and we have to embrace everyday and focus on the positives minute by minute . We thank everyone for your heartfelt prayers and well wishes!
