Baby Nani's Heart Repair Surgery

Aloha friends and relatives,

Sweet baby Nani who is 5 weeks old will have to undergo open-heart surgery on september 27th at Seattle children's hospital. Her parents Nakiya and Budda Luna will be staying in Seattle for a minimum of two weeks while their beautiful baby girl is recovering. Due to Covid 19 only one parent will be allowed at a time to visit baby Nani. To help with the cost of lodging, food, and expenses in general. This Go Fund Me was made in an effort to alleviate some financial stresses during this most difficult and stressful time. There is a long road ahead for baby Nani and her parents as she undergoes (The Ross Procedure). Here is a little more info on what the Ross procedure entails. The Ross procedure is where they replace the aortic valve with her pulmonary valve. When doing this they have to remove her coronary arteries from her aortic valve and then reconnect them to the new valve once it’s replaced. They will connect her pulmonary artery to her right ventricle with a conduit.. As Nani grows she will require more surgeries to her valves to accommodate for her growth.
