Baby Mollman Stay in Denver NICU

John Mollman arrived in the world on January 27, 2022. Morganne and Spencer were very excited for the long awaited birth of their first child. Unfortunately, all did not go well with the delivery. Baby John inhaled meconium at birth and that prevented him from being able to breathe. The doctors feared he would sustain damage to his brain because of the lack of oxygen. He was immediately life flighted to the Children’s Hospital in Denver and he has now been in the NICU for 2 weeks. His prognosis is very good and he is making gains daily. While insurance will cover a large part of the medical expenses, this has created unanticipated expenses for Morganne and Spencer. Lodging, food and transportation expenses are increasing daily, while Morganne and Spencer have spent time at the hospital and have not been able to work. I would like to help them with expenses and if you feel lead to assist them please know all funds will go directly to them. The fees are not excessive. Gofundme keeps 2.9% of all funds donated for their service. Thank you!

Morganne sent the following update to me today: John will be two weeks old tomorrow. And it’ll be two weeks tomorrow as well that he’s been here.

We’ve been breastfeeding the last couple days (thank God) and working to ween him off his feeding tube. Once he’s taking all his milk orally (600ml/day) by breast and bottle, and gaining weight then we’ll be ready to go home. He will be going home for sure with his low flow cannula that he’s already on to adapt to the higher altitude.
