Baby Milo's Fight: A Tiny Warrior's Journey with TAPVD

Hi, my name is Heather and I am raising money for my niece Dallas and her little warrior Milo.

Baby Milo came into this world fighting.
Born with a critical congenital heart condition called TAPVD, Milo’s tiny body faces a challenge most of us can’t imagine. In TAPVD, the veins from the lungs connect to the wrong place in the heart, preventing oxygen-rich blood from reaching the rest of his body.
At just two days old, while most newborns are heading home, Milo underwent an 8-hour open-heart surgery. It was a grueling procedure that no infant should have to endure, but Milo proved he is a fighter.
While that first surgery was a success, Milo’s journey has hit a dangerous crossroads. His veins have begun to narrow again—a complication that is life-threatening. He is currently on breathing assistance, and doctors have delivered the news every parent dreads: Milo must return to Edmonton within the next week for another major surgery to save his life.
For Milo’s mom, Dallas, and his 9-year-old big sister, Jamie Faye, "home" has become a hospital room in Calgary. They have been living in survival mode since the day he arrived, navigating a world of beeps, alarms, and constant worry.
To protect Milo, Jamie Faye has transitioned to homeschooling, sacrificing her normal routine and friendships to ensure she doesn't bring a cold or flu into the hospital that could jeopardize her brother’s recovery. This family has stepped away from work, their home, and their sense of normalcy to ensure Milo is never alone.
The emotional toll is heavy, but the financial strain is mounting daily. We are asking for your help to ease the burden on Dallas and her children as they prepare for the move to Edmonton and the long road of recovery ahead.
Your donations will go directly toward:
Travel and Relocation: Fuel and transport for the move from Calgary to Edmonton.
Food and Lodging: Basic necessities while living away from home in hospital environments.
Lost Wages: Allowing Dallas to focus 100% on Milo’s care without the immediate fear of mounting bills.
Safety and Health: Supporting the family’s ability to remain isolated and healthy for Milo’s protection.
Every Prayer, Share, and Donation Matters
If you cannot donate at this time, please consider sharing Milo’s story. Every share brings more light and hope to this "Little Warrior."
Thank you for standing with Dallas, Jamie Faye, and Baby Milo during the hardest chapter of their lives. We will keep you updated on his progress every step of the way.
