I decided to create this page as we are in need of raising funds for IVF treatments. I am sure most of you have heard other couples IVF stories. I was afraid to share our story to the public and ask for help. Someone told me that I had to share our story with the world. My husband and I are always willing to help others, but for once we need your support. 

We are a spiritual couple and believe God has a plan for us. Although we have struggled to get pregnant, we continue to have faith in God the Holy Spirit every day. Please keep us in your prayers.

My husband, Roberto, and I have been married for 10 years. It has been difficult for us to get pregnant on our own. My OB-GYN from Pennsylvania Hospital recommended a fertility specialist in the Philadelphia area 2010. Both of us got tested and the fertility issue was coming from me. I had hormonal issues and low progesterone level. The fertility specialist prescribed a variety of medications.

Then, we tried IUI, or intra-uterine insemination. We have gone through this 6 times with unsuccessful results. It has been an emotionally, mentally and physically exhausting. Since I wasn't able to get pregnant through IUI, the doctor suggested IVF immediately without discussing this with us in person. I was upset and crying in front of the nurse at the time. The IVF or In Vitro Fertilization procedure would cost $10,000 back in 2010 (which we didn't have then). This was excluding the cost of the necessary medications. Both of us made the decision to no longer continue the fertility treatments with this doctor. We made the choice of taking a break from seeing any fertility specialist at the time.

My husband and I wanted to try to conceive a child and have a family of our own. We just love being in the presence of children. Many people have mentioned to us why don't we just adopt instead. We wanted to create the possibility of pregnancy first.

Someone recommended a fertility specialist to us in the South Jersey area. We met up with our second specialist and had a consultation with him in August 2016. We did various tests and found out that I was pre-menopausal. The doctor reversed my menstrual cycle and wanted us to try to get pregnant naturally. We were given hope of the possibility of having a family in our early 40's. We are grateful to have the opportunity to be consulted by one the top fertility specialists in the region.

We recently met up with the doctor in March 2017. Worse yet, I was told that my chances of getting pregnant gradually decreases every month. The only way to increase my chances of pregnancy is through IVF or egg donor. We want to go in the direction of IVF as our first choice right now. The doctor suggested we get started with this as soon as possible. Health insurance usually does not cover fertility treatments and medications. The medications and IVF procedure is very expensive. It would cost at least $12,000 in medical expenses. Injections usually cost from $1,200 to $2000.
