My name is Tressa. Two months ago, I gave birth to my sweet baby Max. We found out the day after I birthed him that he had a "mild-ish" version of something called "penile torsion" and we were told he'd need surgery. We scheduled it in Lexington for the end of November.

I found out today that it wasn't so mild. Not only will it be significantly more costly, we will have to try to get the surgeon to get him in soon. Because of the severity, if we don't fix it, and do it soon, it could affect him forever.

I have been putting money back every time I get paid and I was certain I'd be able to afford it on my own, but it's more complicated now. Not only that, but we're having to move into a bigger place to facilitate our other kids, Max, and my boyfriend's other son who's recently been put into our care.
