Hello, my name is Melissa Larson and I am raising funds to help support baby Maverick and his family as he undergoes treatment for cancer. Cheyenne ,Maverick’s mom, is one of our employees at New Vintage Grill and we want to do all that we can to help to support her in caring for Maverick during this difficult time. Maverick just turned 4 months old and was diagnosed with a type of cancer called Neuroblastoma. It has created 2 large masses on his adrenal glands and is scattered throughout his liver. Because he’s so young he falls into a stage 4-S category which is different from the typical 1-4 stages. His risk level isn’t as easy to determine so he’s starting with 2 rounds of chemotherapy which will take 6 weeks and then they’ll reassess from there depending on how his body and the cancer masses respond. At most he’ll get 8 rounds of chemo before they revert to surgery, again depending on his body’s response.

He’s a fighter and every visit or new poke he’s getting stronger and tougher as he learns what pain is and how to manage it.
