Baby Mateo's Fight for Life and Hope

Hi, my name is Irene Ayala. I come on here with a heavy heart on behalf of my brother, his wife, their two kids, and a baby boy on the way, baby Mateo. My sister-in-law and brother have come to the point where they are truly asking for help in raising finances for my unborn nephew and their little family.

So, my brother and his wife have been waiting and trying for this baby until she finally got pregnant with her third baby, and it brought so much happiness to our family, such a blessing. But sadly, they got very intense and emotional news about their unborn son. There has been a health problem that came along with the pregnancy. Their doctor announced terrible news about their son not growing the way he is supposed to. He told them that it can even be fatal, where the baby might not make it. Somewhere in his body, there is a pinch that is stopping all his nutrients from flowing down to the rest of his body, and it is overflowing with fluid and blood in his brain, causing his head to overgrow. Every appointment they go to, which has been specialist after specialist, has been bad news and very overwhelming. They have been putting their faith in God and leaving it in God's hands.

So right now, they are in a time of need, where they are told the baby will need immediate surgery in his brain to drill, drain, and remove the blood and fluid so he can have that chance to survive, which they only gave him a 30% chance of survival. How can their happiness and dreams fall apart so fast with this unexpected news? They are cherishing every moment of their baby boy and are praying for a miracle. But we all ask you for help financially due to my brother getting laid off from work. He is the only provider in the home and does work side jobs as much as possible just to provide for his family, but unfortunately, it will not be enough for too long to provide for his family or their needs when the baby is born. So, they need as much help as they can get. Anything is appreciated, honestly, even sharing this emotional news.

My brother will not be able to work when the baby is born because he will need to be right by his wife’s side and the baby's, for both their health and lives are at risk. If anyone can please help us raise money for baby Mateo to have his medical bill expenses or any other expenses paid and give him the right surgery he needs so he can make it in this world and have a chance to grow and also be a testimony to many people and give him that chance to be a happy boy. We just ask to give them that chance to give him the surgery he will need or, sadly, an unexpected funeral. They will need help for the bills, groceries, or to provide for their other kids and any payments they need to pay during that hard time and for baby Mateo's medical bills.

Please, no mother or father should go through a terrifying moment in their lives losing a child or even putting their newborn through a life-threatening surgery. They are beyond sad and full of anxiety and fear, not knowing what will happen with their baby. Please let’s get together as a community and give my nephew the chance to be in this world.
