Our newest grandbaby will be going into surgery for his heart the beginning of January. His name is Malcom and right now he is a little over 3 months old.  Malcom has a moderately large ventricular septal defect which is a hole between his right ventricle and his left ventricle. This hole leaves a pathway for the red blood and the blue blood to mix causing fluid to gather around his lungs, so right now he is on lasix twice a day until surgery so he can expel the extra fluid and his breathing won't be so labored. He has a  slight blockage in his pulmonary artery which needs to be corrected also. And to top it all off the little man was born with PKU which is being monitored weekly. His original date for surgery was in February. I was going to plan a fundraiser to help my son Joseph and his fiancee Erika with finances, travel, food, lodging, lost days at work, child care while they are out in Albany for their other 3 children and whatever else may come up. But being they moved the date up that idea is on pause. Anybody who can help, we would definitely appreciate it! I'm not normally one to ask for anything I'm normally the one working on something for somebody else. So I'm praying to God that there are people out there that are willing to help us out this time.
