12/14/2022:
Princess Madison is doing well today and is stable with the help of meds. Her O2 is staying between 96-99. They did start her on epi due to her BP dropping down a little lower than what they liked last night. With the epi, it is where it needs to be. We are still waiting on her blood draw for genetic testing to rule some things out such as Charge Syndrome.
The Opthalmology team did check her over today and determined her eyes are normal and functioning perfectly!
We're still waiting for the ENT team to check out her nasal passages and ensure they are open and fully developed.
They have booked a slot for her surgery this Friday, 12/16/2022 to correct her Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome(HLHS). If she continues the way she has and is stable, the surgery will be performed at 0730 am as planned. She is the only surgery booked for Friday and will be their main concentration.
I will update as soon as I know more information from the nurses/doctors/surgeons.
Please continue to SHARE SHARE SHARE and cover sweet Maddie in prayer. She will need strength to recover after her procedure. ♥

12/13/2022:
Madison Ann Marie White made her official debut 12/13/22 at 0123 weighing 7 lbs .02 oz and 18 inches long.
Her first day of life has been pretty eventful, to say the least.. When Maddie was born, she had some respiratory issues immediately after birth and was intubated and taken to the NICU.
They were able to do her echo, and the cardiologist confirmed that she has Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS), a birth defect that affects normal blood flow through the heart.
Because her heart isnt working properly, she had a lot of fluid building up in her lungs and the rest of her body. Madison was struggling to keep her sats up but is currently stable.
She was taken to the cath lab where they placed a stent in between her two atrium (upper chambers of the heart) to help with the fluid and Restrictive Atrium.
After the stent was placed, she was taken to PICU. Even though PICU is usually for older kids, it’s where the cardiac patients go, and she can be monitored a little better there. She’s still intubated, but she can maintain her sats a lot better. She’s sedated with precedex and morphine. She has an arterial line and a regular IV through her umbilical cord to keep track of her blood pressure and give medications. She also has 2 regular IVs in her arms for medications, but they may end up placing a PICC line for more long-term management. She’s receiving TPN and Lipids since she can’t feed just yet, prophylactic antibiotics, a heparin drip to avoid clots from the stent, and Lasix to get some extra fluid off her.
The NICU team was worried about a possible genetic issue with her. Jenny & Michael (dad) met with a geneticist today and went over testing options. A blood test will be collected from Maddie as soon as she is assessed by the ENT & Ophthalmologist. They also said they had an issue trying to suction her nose. At this moment, her heart surgery is most likely going to be this Friday 12/16/2022.
This little girl has given us a run for our money in these first few days of her life. The nurses and drs that have taken care of her so far have said she is feisty, and I have no doubt that’s true! We appreciate these men and women God has placed in Maddie's life to take excellent care of her.
Throughout these weeks and months, there will be a large influx of medical bills, costs of medications, food, and gas. I've created this GoFundMe for Madison, Jenny, and Michael to receive donations to help relieve some stress. They're worried about their daughter. They shouldn't need to worry about these other things. Please feel free to donate what you can - all proceeds will be given to Jenny & Michael White. Please lift this sweet family in prayer!
