Please consider helping raise funds for a local family who brought their beautiful baby boy Maddox into this world at only 23 weeks. We want to help ease the financial strain so mom and dad can focus on being with their child over the next four months.

We stand in agreeance that baby Maddox will overcome all obstacles and that God has so much purpose for this sweet boy's life.

Here is a brief update from dad.

Maddox Wayne Flythe was born at 5:58am, at 1lb 8oz, 11.5 inches, 23 weeks along in the womb. He is doing very well. He will stay in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of The Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters for approximately 4 months. This will be a very hard 4 months, so we ask for continued prayers for tenacity of strength, hope, encouragement, and continued perseverance. We really mean that. We really need those prayers, just as those others who have been praying. Our Holy Lord gave us this child, safe and sound, against VERY incredible odds. I'm still trying to wrap my mind around what happened during those 30 minutes after Julia was wheeled in for the emergency vertical C-section, but we KNOW it was nothing short of a miracle.

Julia is recovering very well, and we look forward to going to the NICU this morning to see him again. We are so happy he's here, and we believe that our Lord Jesus knows just how bad Julia wanted to be a mommy, and me a daddy, and decided to give him to us just a little bit early.

A dear friend dropped off some goodies in the lobby for us yesterday, along with a scripture I personally haven't been reminded of in quite some time. From the Book of James, Chapter 1 Verse 12:

"Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of LIFE, which God has promised to those who love him.”

Now isn't that so true?
