Our stepbrother and sister-in-law, Scott and Jessica Lytle, had a beautiful wedding last September and are happily welcoming their first child together, a baby boy. During a routine fetal anatomy scan and subsequent testing, it has been determined the baby has Spina Bifida. Fortunately, due to new surgical innovations, they have the opportunity to go to a specialty hospital in Houston where a fetal surgery can be performed. This surgery has been known to correct or lessen the severity of Spina Bifida for in utero babies.
We, as family, want to do everything we can to support and help them during this challenging road ahead. They will be leaving their work and home in Tulsa and will be in Houston for several weeks.
- Their time off work, the cost of travel and staying there, as well as exorbitant medical fees, make a difficult time more stressful and worrisome. Therefore, I’m hoping our friends and family will come together to circle around this family and pitch in any amount of money to help ease the hardship.
