For the family of Parker, Maddie, Arizona and Lydia Foxhoven

At 30 hours old Lydia underwent surgery due to having air in her belly around her intestines. During surgery, they discovered part of her small intestine was dead and had perforated - therefore allowing stools to be floating around her belly. During surgery, they took out the bad parts of the intestines and took the good part of the small intestine and attached it to her stomach where she now has an ostomy bag where the stools will go until she is a little bigger and they can attach her small intestine back to her large intestine. She came through surgery like a champ, but still has a long road to recovery. Lydia has been in the NICU on a vent since her surgery and will have an additional surgery around 10 weeks old.

As you can imagine, medical expenses add up quickly. In addition, this is far from a traditional maternity or paternity leave. Both Parker and Maddie will be spending much less time at work for a longer duration than initially planned.
